The Maybach Paladin Concept 2040
The car itself is a statement above the rest of the market. It is the paradigm example of what class, luxury, and effortless refinement should represent. It was inspired by Yachts to be a yacht for the road. It is your vacation on the road, day to day.
The concept focused around 3 key points: Space, Materials, & Solitude. In order to give an absolute definition of luxury you have to begin by defining it. What is luxury? Some would say time, some would say comfort. I would say: Space. Enough space to jump and move about in your own personal space that is monumentally bigger than anyone else, giving you the irrefutable element in your status. Much like an executive office. The materials that accent your space must be of the highest quality, and manufactured completely bespoke to your product. A cookie cutter product will only tell you that the mass production process had only reduced the quality of product. All of these play into the final concept, solitude. Which you can say for example, a person who travels on his yacht can see many things in the ocean that not a great many can. The idea of solitude in the saying that "It's lonely at the top." Is very relevant here. The idea of being in complete isolation from the outside of your vehicle to give you that moment of vacation peace in your day to and from work.
This render took me roughly 6-7 hours in photoshop while again watching Mad Men. I wanted to take my time with it; because the profile shape really dictates more on this car than on any other car. The silhouette of this car should be something unmistakeable for anything else on the road. It should be an unimaginably powerful yet jaw droopingly beautiful presence on the road. I wanted this car to turn heads with very long and strong pure surfaces. The elegant character lines I laid down came from my inspiration of a hump back whale in essence.
